QWO™: The New Surgery-Free Treatment That Minimizes the Appearance of Cellulite

QWO™: The New Surgery-Free Treatment That Minimizes the Appearance of Cellulite

It doesn’t matter how well you eat or how regularly you exercise, cellulite affects about 90% of women — especially after puberty. This is because women carry fat in the areas cellulite loves to appear, like the buttocks.

At Wrinkle Fairy with offices in Chicago, Oakbrook, Arlington Heights, and Naperville, Illinois, we’re always on the lookout for the latest and most effective treatments for targeting the bands of fibrous tissue that create cellulite.

Led by Leslie Forrester, APRN, our experienced aesthetic team is pleased to offer non-surgical QWOTM treatments to erase the dimpling cellulite causes and give you smoother skin in weeks — without any recovery time needed.

If you’re ready to say goodbye to cellulite, keep reading to learn more about this innovative therapy and how it can help you.

How does QWO work?

QWO, or collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes, is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that targets cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. It works by releasing enzymes (collagenases) that target the bands of collagen that cause your skin to dimple.

But QWO doesn’t stop there. These enzymes also stimulate the growth of new collagen, giving you smoother, firmer skin, while simultaneously redistributing the existing fat cells, helping further reduce the appearance of cellulite.

In clinical studies, optimal results occurred for patients receiving three treatments at 21-day intervals, though some patients report a noticeable improvement after only one treatment session. It takes 10 weeks after your last treatment for the final results to appear.

What happens during QWO treatments?

The best thing about QWO treatments is that they’re fast, easy, and don’t require any recovery time. Your Wrinkle Fairy provider markets the targeted areas then injects QWO into the cellulite of your buttocks.

The process is relatively painless, so there’s no need for anesthetics, and it only takes about 10 minutes. Once your treatment is over, you’re free to return to your normal activities immediately.

What about side effects?

There are few side effects, but when they occur these include mild bruising or swelling at the injection sites, redness, itching, a warm sensation, and mild skin discoloration. Allergic reactions are rare.

Am I a candidate for QWO?

Most adult women with moderate to severe cellulite on their buttocks are candidates for QWO, but the therapy isn’t right for everyone. For example, women who are allergic to the ingredients in QWO can’t receive this treatment.

Your Wrinkle Fairy provider reviews your medical history and any current symptoms to ensure QWO is right for you. Generally speaking, you may not be eligible for QWO if you:
